July 4, 2008 12:15 PM Joy & Claira Arrive / Hear The Atlanta Symphony @ Verizon Theater
It was so exciting today to pick up Joy & Claira at the airport. Claira has a huge smile and cute dimples. Joy has the coolest glow that only a new mom could have. Joy and Claira are amazing to watch together. Their interactions and eye exchanges tells you that they are communicating on a deeper level.
Jay, Melissa, Owen, Donna & I enjoyed the ride to the airport. Owen was excited about meeting his cousin Claira. He called her, 'baby'! Not sure he knew what he thought about the baby.
Jordan meet us at Anthony's for lunch after he got out of his Lindamood-Bell reading class. Jay & Melissa took off for the Verizon Wireless Theater to sell merchandise while Owen and Claira got to know each other - they both took naps!
We ate supper with the McDonalds at the Varisity in Alpharetta. Enjoyed the Atlanta Symphony and fireworks. The fireworks were a little off site which was a little disappointing. Donna likes to be up close and personal with her fireworks on the fourth. Especially since this is the first July 4th we have been in the states in a long time. We are usually in Honduras.
